The iconic Toyota Corolla “AE86″, or as most tuners know it, the “Hachi Roku,” is by far one of the most popular tuning platforms ever. The combination of a high-revving 4-cylinder engine and RWD have made this car a very popular and affordable tuning platform, with clean examples being sold for well over their KBB price. Joshua Mercado’s 1985 Corolla GTS is one of the cleanest examples of the platform on the island. This beauty not only looks good, but it’s also put to work! Josh races it at the local SCCA events, and drives it out on the road as well. Josh’s Corolla is just one of many examples out there proving that the AE86 lore is still running strong!
