Vars Toen

S2000 Proper seat

As requested by our fans, here are some unreleased shots of the Honda S2000 feature we did a few months back. It sits millimeters off the ground on Skunk 2 coilovers, and is rocking a pretty damn crazy setup! Wheels are VarrsToen 18×9.5 (+10) fronts and 18.x10.5 (+10) rears and are wrapped in 215/35/18 front and 225/35/18 rears. Sure, they may be replicas but the owner isn’t trying to pass them off as the real deal and we appreciate that. If the “none name brand” wheel is bugging you you’ll be happy to know that just a couple of months after we first featured this car the owner got himself a different set of wheels! Are we going to have more of it? You’ll have to wait and see. In the mean

Fast from the Past

If you’re a true car enthusiast and were offered a chance to visit one country in the world, majority of you would probably pick Japan. Whether you’re into classics (Japanese & American), drifters (Silvia’s, Kouki’s and more) or the VIP Style (Crowns & Celsiors), Japan is the place to be! Our photographer Shota Mori headed down to Tokyo a couple of months where he was able to snap these incredible photos! Mind you, they were taken after an event as people were driving off, but it doesn’t really matter, does it? A sight like this doesn’t happen too often and Shota was lucky enough to have his camera on him at the right time and place! It doesn’t get any better than this, does i

Eat More Rice...

This NorCal based STI is one of those cars we’ve been meaning to feature for a very long time, but our schedules never quite clicked with owners. I remember first falling in love with this thing when I saw it pull up to our meet mid last year. Back then it sat on Work VS-XX’s which looked just as incredible as the current setup! It was honestly one of the first newer STI’s that I’ve seen in person and actually desired. Vinh is part of the RoyalOrigin family so it shouldn’t be a surprise to see a car with fitment like this coming from them. These guys know what to do to their cars to stand out, and don’t even get us started on how awesome and down to earth they all are individually. Scroll down for more!

Photos By: Brian Valdizno

Coming from VS-XX’s, Vinh upgraded to Work Emotion 11R-FT finished in Matte Gray just a few months ago. Offset is right at +22 all around, and wheels are wrapped in the stretch friendly Nankang 235/40/18 rubber. He finished the wheels off with some Kic project r40 neochrome lugs and moved on to the suspension. He dropped it on BC racing coilovers with White line rear camber kit and SPC front camber bolts to tuck those Nankang tires in the fenders. Vinh also added the Cusco front power brace & Cusco front strut bar for some stability. As always, hit the Read More button for more photos!

Exterior of the car features a custom painted grill and foglight housing, painted side badges and painted fog lights that only a couple of cars can pull off. We always get people asking what the red things behind the grill are, and they’re just horns. Well, hellahorns to be exact. Vinh went with a complete Chargespeed carbon fiber lip kit around the car, some tail light overlays and a set of JDM visors to finish it all off. It’s a relatively simple look overall that really works. Tell us what you think in the comment box.

Vinh also played around with some go-fast modifications such as the MXP quad exhaust system with Megan catless downpipe, AEM cold air intake, Cobb Accessport and Buddy Club Turbo Timer. He tells us that he plans on focusing more on the engine once his new wheels are in. That’s right, the 11R’s are already sold and a new set of more aggressive wheels are on the way. All that he would share with us are a few numbers, 18×11! Not much else really needs to be said, right?

Big shout to Vinh and Brian for making this happen finally. Be on a lookout for more RoyalOrigin cars in the near future! We thank you all very much for your support and make sure you like us on facebook!

Honda Civic low

We have yet another blend of Royal Origin x LowBallers for you today. This time around we’ll take you to Southern California with us to take a closer look at Jimmy Lieu’s royal & baller Honda Civic. (Oh yes we did!) What Jimmy doesn’t know is that we’ve had our eyes on his car for months now! In fact, it’s been over 4 months since our friend Miguel first tipped us off about Jimmy’s Civic. What’s pretty crazy is that just about 9 months ago this Civic was stolen and stripped, but with the help and encouragement of his friends it has come very far. It’s always an honor to show off rides that come from the Royal Origin and LowBallers guys, so let’s take a closer look shall we?

As we mentioned above, September of 2010 Jimmy had his Civic stolen and stripped. His first purchase afterwords were his wheels. Volk TE37 SuperLaps in 17×9 all around with (+12) offset in the front and (+22) offset in the rear. He wrapped them in a set of 205/40/17 tires and dropped the car on Buddy Club N+ coilovers with Buddy Club camber arms. As you can see, this is a pretty serious drop that is definitely not for the faint of heart! Reffer to the photo below please.
Up next came the 09+ front end conversion and all the exterior stuff. HPF front lip and side skirts were mounted on, which we absolutely love on these cars. In the rear, J’s Racing replica diffuser sets the car off and gives it just what it needed. As if the car wasn’t low enough, Jimmy decided to get himself a V-limited front splitter from an STI for that extremely low look! (we blame Royal Origin and LowBallers haha!) It looks to be in good condition somehow, especially for being his daily driver. Not sure how he does it but it’s earned our respect! Hit the Read More button link for more on this Civic.
